Love is Love
This year, we’re seeing the love from companies celebrating their pride for the LGBTQ+ community. It’s fantastic to see how many places, people and companies support an inclusive culture and are passionate about creating a positive change. How lucky are we to live in a city with rainbow sidewalks!? We applaud you, Capitol Hill!!
The Rev team is sharing some of our favorite companies in Seattle that are not only celebrating the LGBTQ+ community during Pride month, but all year round!
Elysian Brewing - known for their classic and innovative brews (aka launching a seasonal Glitteris Ale beer for Pride), has a deep-rooted mission built around community. One amazing example is their continued support of The Vera Project in hosting Search Party, where 100% of the proceeds are donated to youth music and arts. Needless to say, they have a heart of gold.
This year for Seattle Pride, Elysian partnered with Jonathan Van Ness and Seattle Pride to host and officiate a wedding for one lucky winner at the Capitol Hill Brewpub location (seriously….can you believe it?!). Vendors who are proud supporters of the LGBTQ+ community helped make this magical day a reality, which included Zappos, Seattle Chocolate, Jubilee, Honey Crumb, Bells Pastries, Cupcake Royale, Tres Lecheria, Fuck Yeah Weddings, Lyft, and Butter & Scotch!
Visit Seattle, Seattle’s destination marketing organization, celebrates the LGBTQ+ community all year long with the #weSEAlove campaign. The organization does a remarkable job in recognizing that in Seattle, Pride isn’t just a month, it's 365 days a year! They are changing the way people see the world: with love and acceptance.
Visit Seattle is highlighting individuals on their #weSEAlove website where you can see how their stories have made an impact on the community. Their tagline, where others see hate, #weSEAlove is something we want everyone to get behind!
Although not from Seattle, Butter & Scotch, or better known as the @drunkbakers on Instagram, supports the community by partnering with other queer-owned businesses. They even donate $1 of every cocktail sold to Planned Parenthood (how amazing!?). For Elysian’s #MarryusJVN campaign, they donated a cake to the wedding and let Elysian film their JVN Cake Topper teaser in their space!
They also have a sister bar, @ladybarseattle, that is a unique Bar Pop-Up established by women, for everyone! It’s the bar we didn’t even realize that we needed!
One of Seattle’s favorite sweet spots is a huge supporter of Seattle Pride. From donating 10% of all proceeds to OutRight Action International for the month of June, to creating Pride apparel and treats, to hosting a giveaway for the Queer Pride Festival, Cupcake Royale is one of our favorite business that supports inclusivity and the LGBTQ+ community!
Tell us how you're celebrating Pride this month with us on Instagram and Facebook!
