Tools to simplify the PR person’s digital life
We’re all about using technology to make our lives easier. In PR, a big part of our day-to-day is spent plugged in, so we strive to simplify the digital aspects of our lives as much as possible. These are the tools helping us do that.
Take control of personal social posting with Buffer App
Social media continues to be a huge part of a PR person’s job. We nail it for our clients with the help of several apps and tools, but at the end of the day, our personal profiles don’t get much love. That’s why we use Buffer App – as we’re out researching, it's super simple to store articles, ideas and content for our personal social profiles and share them whenever we want.
Never forget another password
Did you know it only takes 3 minutes to crack the average password? Managing several social media profiles and blogs + our own personal accounts means password security has always been important to us. For this,
LastPass has been a lifesaver. We know our passwords should look like this “vrk^7&923!” but who can remember that? With LastPass, we have the added security of tough-to-crack passwords, data encryption, don’t have to store login info in our browsers and only have to remember one password. Eat your heart out, Heart Bleed.
Stop wading through influencer social media profiles
Followerwonk is part of Moz’s app arsenal, and we use its “Twitter Bio Search” functionality often to help us find relevant social influencers. Instead of wading through search results from Twitter or Google, Followerwonk allows you to narrow down Twitter users based on specific search terms. It’s a great timesaver and super helpful for supplementing media lists and blogger outreach.
