Badass Female Influencers who Inspire Us
When it comes to inclusivity online, there’s still a lot of work to be done. But in the quest for taking care of ourselves and looking after the planet, more and more female influencers are rising to the top and taking center stage on Instagram. Here are five of our favorite badass female influencers who promote self love, sustainability and mindful living.
- Leah Thomas, @greengirlleah
Leah is a writer, lifestyle influencer and the founder of Intersectional Environmentalist (IE). IE is a “climate justice community and resource hub centering BIPOC and historically excluded voices”. She is passionate about sharing climate news and resources, sustainable alternatives and ways individuals can get involved in the fight against climate change.
- Abby, @abbyontheinternet
Based in SF, Abby mixes vintage, secondhand clothes with new ethical brands to create one-of-a-kind outfits and style inspiration for her followers. She also loves to travel and posts while on the go! Abby is one of our go-to influencers for funky style inspo and sustainability content.
- Kate Glavan, @kateglavan
Kate’s goal is to make politics, sustainability, and health content more digestible. She does so through her stunning posts, newsletters and podcast, “WTF is seamoss,” which hilariously debunks health food myths and provides crucial info about what we’re actually putting into our bodies. Her personal style is unique, upbeat and she is constantly adding up-and-coming sustainable brands to her collection (including our fave Arvin Goods!).
- Lauren Singer, @trashisfortossers
Lauren is an activist and influencer who advocates for zero-waste lifestyles. She launched her blog in 2012 and since then has been inspiring other influencers and followers across the world to take a more mindful, considerate approach to trash and waste. She has a stunning style and is constantly amplifying sustainable homeware, clothing and beauty brands.
- Chloé, @chloegoslowly
Chloé is a Bay Area-based creator who focuses on creating unique outfits with secondhand and sustainable clothing pieces. She adds an emphasis on mindfulness and self love to most of her content, plus she’s about as transparent and honest as they come! And she has one of the most aesthetically pleasing book collections we’ve ever seen!
