Meet Natalie!
Tell us a little about yourself:
I was born and raised in the Portland area (like a few of my Revolution teammates) but made my way to Seattle to attend Seattle University, where I earned a degree in Strategic Communications. After graduating, I decided to stay here and have worked in PR for the past five+ years. When I’m not working, I’m usually researching my next recipe to cook, next show to see or next trip to plan!
There are a lot of PR agencies out there, why did you pick Revolution?
Revolution stood out to me because of the amazing mix of clients – we work with a lot of cool brands, doing really innovative work in their respective industries. Revolution is also very different from past agencies I’ve worked for, so the opportunity to work on new projects and new clients was attractive.
What attracted you to pursue PR as a career?
As a kid, I pored over newspapers and magazines. I would steal my mom’s copies of Sunset, Family Circle and Oprah Magazine, and read The Oregonian every day in high school. I started college as a journalism major but eventually switched to Strategic Communications after realizing that public relations would allow me to work with media on a daily basis, but with a little more security than a journalism career would provide.
We’re an agency of self-proclaimed wellness junkies! What is your favorite trend in the wellness space right now?
Anything related to “self-care,” and specifically skin care. There’s nothing like the feeling of a freshly washed and moisturized face!
Is there a workout that you’re loving right now?
I’ve played soccer since I was 5 and continue to play in adult rec leagues in Seattle twice a week. But I can never get enough cardio – the spin bike is my go-to at the gym.
One of our biggest motivations when it comes to exercise is being able to sport cute activewear! Is there a specific item that you’re particularly obsessed with these days?
Nothing in particular! A typical workout outfit for me is soccer/running shorts, a tee and a dri-fit hat to keep the flyaways out of my face.
If you had to choose one thing that you are most passionate about, what would it be and why?
Animals, hands down. I’m a huge animal lover and wanted to be a marine biologist when I was younger. Now I just plan my vacations around the best places to scuba dive 😊
